- Improve filtering and text readability for high res desktops by using mip mapping

Or a pixel shader to super-sample multiple texels of the desktop texture while doing distortion on your own.

I know mip mapping is supported but it's rift only.

But I really want "best in class" sampling to improve readability. As soon as you cross a threshold away from the virtual desktop, text becomes unreadable. This is not because of resolution but because of aliasing artifacts.

I’ve requested this from Valve. Hopefully they will add support for Mip Mapping during distortion like Rift does.
